Hello all,

I recently purchased a Winchester Model 70 Stealth II in .308win after doing as much research on the rifle as I could (which was very limited for this rifle for some reason)
I am wondering if anyone else has one of these rifles and could maybe let me know how it shoots for you and what manufacturers make stocks that would fit this rifle. The Bell & Carlson aluminum bedded stock that comes on the rifle is not too bad, but I like to know what my options are.

Any info you have on the rifles performance and where to pick up aftermarket parts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I have a 2010 model Stealth which were made in very limited numbers. It has the B&C stock and a WSM action, chambered in .308. Mine is exceptionally accurate, and fit and finish is very well done. I am extremely happy with mine.
For the money, you can't go wrong.
I also understand the older models were quite accurate as well, and available in other calibers.

From what I understand, the Winchester factory in New Haven, connecticut was closed in 2006. The barrel on the rifle says it was made in New haven so it was made in 2006 or earlier. I just have not been able to find out what year exactly it was made due to the limited information available for these rifles.

I also have one of the 2010 edition and its really accurate.I try 4 different factory ammo in mine and they all shoot well. The POI is pretty much the same wether its a 150,168 or 180 gr bullet.

I have a 2005 308 on the wsm action, that I will never part with, it will shoot 1/2 to 3/4moa all day long crappy Remington core-lokt 180's. even better with hornady match. as for aftermarket parts there is a wide variety of parts out there they are just hard to find amongst all the Remington 700 parts market. All the major stock manufacturers build for them (McMillan, HS precision, Manners, XLR and of coarse B&C). Bottom metal you are stuck with only CDI, Williams and FNH if you can get your hands on it. The worst part of owning a stealth II is trying to find a rail, just go straight to Near Mfg and don't waste your time with any others, Badger tried twice and neither fit mine and I also ordered a warne that also was a miss.
