Does anyone here know where to find parts for these in Canada??? WGP in Edmonton has nothing...they are expecting buffers shortly though. Other than them is there anyone else I might be able to contact? I'll even buy a complete gun for parts if you have one for sale. Thanks.

Wish I could help but cannot think of any other place in canada. I cannot believe they sold all the x1 stuff they had. I was there about 12 years ago and picked up some items and figured they would never get rid of all they had. Must still be a few x1 shooters out there. I got my last parts state side from numrich but it was only a mag tube and some springs. All the best with your search.

Wright's in Pinckneyville, IL is probably the best place, because I don't know of anyone that carries parts in Canada. I don't believe that they will ship parts to Canada. So, you can go there and buy parts, get an American friend to buy the parts for you and have them shipped, or see if a Canadian gun dealer can import them for you. Here is a link to their web site ... http://www.wrightsgunsmiths.com/ Wright's is by far the best when it comes to the SX-1. I bought a bunch of parts when I last went to the Grand and have both of mine all fixed up in good condition. What, specifically are you looking for?

Thanks everyone!

I had already contacted Wrights, Nuline, Midwest Gun Works and a couple others and none of them ship north of the border which is why I am now looking in Canada.

I got lucky over the holidays and bought myself 2 of these great shotguns. One is a mint condition Trap model with 30" Full Trap Choke barrel, fancy M/C stock, ser.#316xx, that had a Morgan Adjustable pad installed on it. I got it for only $500 from the Edmonton Cabela's Gun Library. The 2nd is a NIB field model with a 30" Full Choke barrel, ser.#754xx. (this one cost me $800...but what other new semi-auto of comparable quality can you get for that price today??? None!!!

3macs1, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the inventory that WGP had wound back up south of the border as these gun and related parts are now in fairly high demand down there.

Beretta687EELL, I was looking for a few buffers, firing pins, extractors, springs (firing pin & hammer)...the regular parts that might break over time. I ordered some of the parts thru Numrich yesterday afternoon, but with the $100 restriction per order the prices are almost doubled due to shipping charges (edit: we can now order up to $200 so shipping charges don't seem as bad now). I am also trying to find a 26" Imp. Cyl or Skeet Choke vent-rib, a 28" Modified Choke vent-rib barrel and another M/C Trap stock that I can install an adjustable cheek piece to. I was looking for a slug barrel but I just bought a 20.5" barrel (was originally a 28" mod. choke plain barrel that someone cut down), so I'm just going to have a smith solder on some sights for me.

DILLIGAF, is that your cost or my cost? Maybe PM me your contact info or a link to your site if you have one, please.

I have Mil discount with Brownells. That would be your cost as well... + shipping of course. ( this will be around 25$ since it wont fit the 5.75 box) I just want to help out since the regular price on these are over the 100$ limit.

Oh ok. Thanks! You're one helluva good person! I'll let you know if I decide to order that kit. Thanks again!

I bought my first Super X-1 and have put an adjustable butt plate on it to use as a introduction gun for new shooters. If any of the Grandkids want to shoot, it will be their first gun. I bought the second one, which is a skeet gun and now have a two barrel set for the first gun. The extra SX-1 is for spare parts and or a project for the future. Both are in good working order with new buffers and recoil springs. These are great guns!

The offer from DILLIGAF is a great deal! I'm going to contact him for future requirements. I get folks looking for Super X parts on a regular basis.

Nice guns. I know numrich will ship to canada if you get stuck.
That trap looks like a lot like the one I sold on the EE here in the past two years. If it is she is like new since it was bought new in the 70's by my brother and rarely used he kept using his 1100. In fact it spent over 25 years in the safe after he went back to the US. It had the real Full Trap marking on the barrel not like may you see with just full. Yes 2 years ago I had 7 of them from the families shooting days we all had some in the day and in the end I got them all and finally said why keep them all it is crazy. I sold 3 and kept four a skeet, trap, miss fly and a field, The other field went to BC with an extra IC barrel, the trap alberta and the skeet NB.
All were super nice guns. That nib is that the one prophet river had for sale?? My favorite is the miss flyway. This is another collectors I just have the gun unfortunately not the case and pic

Thought you may get a kick out of this. I still have one of the catalogs the 1st two skeet guns we ordered in 74 were taken from and in the attic the box and paperwork etc for one of them. Make sure you save all that stuff from your nib one. And yes I am a hoarder just like my old man was.
Funny they list a 20ga super x-1 in the cat but I have never seen one take care

3macs1, my Trap model has the correct "full trap choke" barrel. I changed the original Morgan rubber section of the pad as I hated the curved profile it had. Close inspection of this gun revealed that it had only shot 1 round of trap...if that! There was/is absolutely no bluing wear on the mag tube, barrel extension or inside of the reciever. There is also very little carbon residue on the inside of the forearm. Needless to say I did not hesitate to fork over the $500 Cabela's was asking for it! I do regret not buying the 2nd Super X 1 Trap gun they had there that day...was only $400 and in 75% condition...worth the price in parts alone and then some. You don't remember what serial number your Trap model had do you? The field gun is indeed the one that Prophet River had on consignment it was missing the paperwork though...but it was never my intention to keep it as NIB anyway!

Apparently there were 2 experimental 20 gauge guns. No production models unfortunately.

Send a letter to Browning.

These guns were made from late 1973 up to about 1984 for standard production and up to 1988 (I think) for the custom shop guns. Afterwards, Winchester sold off all remaining parts inventory to a few companies in the USA. Despite the fact that the Browning Gold/Winchester Super X2 shotguns were based of the original Super X Model 1 design, they don't have one single part in common.
