I have a Winchester Super X - Model 1 and would like to know a little about it. I got the gun 5 years ago from the original owner. I was told by the seller that he had put "half a dozen boxes of 9's through her" and judging by the condition of the wood and the metal, I believe him.

As you can see the gun has 2 barrels, Modified and Full Trap. I would put the condition at Very Good to Excellent

Here are a few Photo's I took today. The serial # is M168XX

Nice gun, On the way out the door so cannot comment other than that trap barrel is worth almost what the complete shot gun is.

Do a search here and that will keep you busy for a while. Great guns. I had quite a few at one time but cut the herd back to three.

It is an early gun. The last ones were in the 88,000 serial range. The front beads are screwed on and have a tendency to come loose and will shear off. Do not shoot it until you replace the bolt buffer!!! They are a great gun.

Field gun as with modified BBl $450-$550 that being said may not be the easiest sell guns like these are great for conversation and tough to sell in today's market . not a 3'' gun not really steel shot compatible all though should be able to shoot steel with the mod BBl . It is not a trap gun the trap bbl was was a after purchase likely wanting full choke bbl may be able to get $250-$300 for the full choke bbl to the wright guy. Awesome guns it is just dated like many fine American made shotguns.

Stuff55 is right on with this one. Even though your gun looks to be in excellent condition in field grade $550 would be the top end. I sold two here for over 700 but they were factory skeet and trap both with high end fancy wood and both with modified triggers, choke tubes etc by Bob Baumgart prior to his passing. I also got 300 for the extra FULL TRAP barrel.
It is a select market for these and it will either sell in the 1st couple of hours or take months. Still one of the best semi's ever produced in my mind. I still have a couple here and the skeet model I kept must have close to 200,000 rounds through it.

I'd be third in line with agreement on the price range of $450.00 - $550.00 for the gun plus the extra trap barrel. Have had several over the years and currently down to two one being a trap gun and the other field. Great guns.

Reference the listing by Prophet River of a NIB consignment SX-1 listed at $875.00 puts the value of yours in perspective.

As mentioned... Make sure the bolt buffer in the gun is updated prior to shooting the gun!!

Shot it twice this year but sure looks nice hanging on the wall.......

That is a nice piece of wood, REM3200. I don't really have a use for the Trap Barrel as I don't shoot Trap at all. So, if I have this right, I should sell the Trap barrel for say $300 (?) and either keep the gun or sell it for, what ?

Definitely new to this shotgun scene so I have no idea on values.

Suggestion only - split the difference on the above advice and list it for $500.00 and to the right person that barrel is worth the $300.00.

Great guns and would buy it myself if didn't already have a field SX-1

One of those shotguns you may regret selling.......................
