Hello everybody...
I just finished a lengthy search on this and didn't really find as much as I'd like.

So,

Can I get a little more info on the following rounds, what they should preferably be used for & the effect on say a coyote or smaller creature (& at what distance):

They're all Winchester Super X:

-Super Speed Round Nose (40gr; 1300 fps; X22LRSS1)

-Super Speed Hollow Point (37gr; 1330 fps; X22LRHSS1)

-Power Point Hollow Point (40gr; 1280 fps; X22LRPP1)

I know the Power Point HP's have a significantly larger cavity than the Super Speed HP's, which would indicate it's greater expansion and ideal use on larger game (possibly coyote's?).

Yesterday I was shooting wine bottles @ 137 yds (iron sights) w/ my Ithaca model 72 saddlegun-using the 40gr super speed RN (X22LRSS1). The only other bullet to hit the log, beside the bottles, was the 37gr super speed HP (X22LRHSS1). Just for reference, the CCI Stingers were horrible. I have 1000 rounds of CCI Mini Mags to try, but didn't really add them to the list because I haven't shot them yet.

Thanks for all/any help :)

I'll go on record as saying I love Power Points
- They are a full 40gr with a big cavity in the nose that ensures Senior Gopher is anchored with authority
- They are very accurate in most rimfires I've used. There is a Marlin at home that delights in knocking paintballs off golf tees at 50m, but only with Power Points
- Due to heavier bullet and high velocity, they usually cycle any semi auto action they are run through

Downside: Price, but it is in line with Yellow Jackets etc

Hmm...

Then why would they make the 37gr Super Speed HP? (I guess they cater to every different .22lr which is on the market-some like 36/37gr, others like the 40gr bullets).

PowerPoint's are the supreme ammo for accuracy in my CZ Silhouette (not counting high dollar target ammo), and they are as effective on impact as a 22LR is ever going to be. I give them two thumbs up.

The SuperSpeed-anything is garbage for accuracy in all of my guns, so I've not played with it much.
