Does anyone have one of these, or any experience with them? They look like they have pretty low recoil, and seem like a nice gun. I'm kinda interested in getting one. :Shotgun:

i have never heard of a super X shotgun, but i know thats a winchester ammo line.
and any 12g will have a fair bit of recoil.
a little more info would be nice.

Super X

Winchester produced a semi auto called the Super X from 1974 to 1981. It was discontinued due to high production costs & was possibly the best semi auto winchester ever produced ( it worked). It is commonly referred to as the super x1. In 1999, I beleive they came out with the super x2 which is basically a Browning gold with the Winchester name on it.
Cheers and keep your powder dry!

Have shot the Super X 1 and 2- great guns no doubt
Friend of mine just got a Super X 3- havent shot it yet , but i have no doubts of the almost zero recoil
Just shot the Remington 105 CTI last weekend as well- very smooth action- kind of different loading for singles trap

How does this compare to the 1400?

Super X1, X2, X3 blow the 1400 out of the water (Shot all of them).... Super X2 might be my favorite but the look of the X3 is much better. The new line of Browning Silver shotguns are just like the X2's and they are just as nice.

I looked at Winchester's website and I must say the Super X3 looks very
good. Who handles Winchester in Canada?

Might first shotung was a Super-X (new old stock, bought in the mid 1980's). They are great shotgun, pretty smooth and reliable.

The only down fall, I've never seen one with removable choke. Probably not safe for steel shoots... The again, that's why they have Bismut or heavy shots!

According to the Website, they now offer chokes for the X2 and X3.

They were and are a top-grade gun. Yes, too expensive to build, which was bad for Winchester but good for us. Try to handle one if you can, you'll see what I mean. I don't think they ever had a Magnum model, did they?

The "original" were not available in magnum... the newer Super X2 and Super X3 are available in 2 3/4", 3" and 3 1/2"

They even have a "Practical" model ;)

I wonder is the new stock would fit the old guns...

Super X Model 1 Awesome

I actually have three of them and they shoot like a dream, I shoot them for skeet, trap, ducks geese. They shoot all day long and never quite. They are one of the very few that are made of actual steel and they last forever. I have owned the one for 25 years and the other I bought here from other guys who never used them.
