Winchester Super X2

The Super X2 is a Gold Hunter 3.5 Clone.... they are excellent shotties, maintain it properly and it will serve you well. The backbored barrels on these guns are conducive to very good patterns with steel shot. The work very well with turkey loads as well.
They don't like to cycle 1 ounce loads some times....

I know 3 guys that have them and not one of them has had a bad thing to say about it. If they were avalialbe left hand I'd even think about getting one. They feel real nice in the had to me and shoot were I look.

I have a friend that oversees waterfowl hunts in Mexico. In his opinion these SX2's won't stand up to the Beretta or Benelli. He also stated that they keep a bushel basket of cocking handles nearby as these mosdels like to eject that part with the empty hull. Maybe Winchester has fixed that as he was to make a formal complaint. Just my two cents and all hearsay but it can be considered fairly accurate.

Not exactly a clone, Browning owns Winchester.
I have had my Browning Gold (3") for about a year, shot lots of 1 1/8 target loads and a few dozen boxes of field loads. Only if it goes uncleaned for a few hundred rounds will the target loads give me any issue. No field load has ever failed to eject. I believe with the 3.5" models you can buy an extra piston for lighter shells if you need it.

I am glad it is no Beretta or Benelli cause I haven't found one yet that fits me. The Remingtons seem to fit me well but the are too high maintenance for my liking.

Wanna good 3.5" that won't let you down? Try a Baikal MP-153 semi Auto. Holds a record for most rounds fired without a jam (something in the 10,000 range I believe) They sell between $575-$700. I have a brand new one for sale, unfired.

Browning Gold 3 1/2" 10 cases of 3" 1 case of 3 1/2" only time it missed a beat was when I put it together wrong after cleaning it, also when using it as a spare paddle had to drill several drain holes in the stock to let the water out, good gun , no has been a great gun:p :p

Actually I have seen a few of these guns get water in the stock. Wtaer in extreme cases will actually run down the inside of the reciever and into the stock if they are left satnding in a blind in heavy rain. Mine is wood so less issue there.
