Winchester Supreme Elite premium question

I have a Tikka T3 in 300 win mag and bought some Winchester Supreme Elite Premium bullets but now I hear that this ammo may cause some problems with buildup in the barrel. Has anyone used this ammo and had any problems or heard about this? So far I have only used 2 of them and they seem good so far.

I have been using the Ballistic Silvertip (same thing) in my 30-06 for four years. Lots fired. When I read this thread I didn't remember there being any problems so I just went and checked my rifle very closely. NO PROBLEMS HERE. I love them.

Buildup of what?...

...Clean your barrel properly and you should never have a problem, no matter what ammo you use.

Hey Bud,

Your new Winchester ammunition is coated with a substance called "Lubalox". According to their marketing it prevents barrel fouling. I'm shooting it in 165Gr .308 and it seems to scrub out of the barrel with a lot less effort than the old uncoated silvertips. They also have that ###y nickel case.

Thanks for the reply's. I couldn't see why they would cause any problems but had to ask. And yes Eagle160, they do look good!! I hope to do some more shooting this coming weekend at longer distance so I'll give them a good go and find out for myself. Thanks again.
