Winchester sxp 3 inch shell problems ?

So I recently bought the winchester sxp shoots the 2 3/4 shells amazing but chambering 3 inch shells they get jammed has anyone else ever had this problem or heard of this problem .?
 
I have also been told by an owner of an sxp that certain ammo causes problems. Although if I recall correctly, the Winchester Xpert steel loads worked well, but the Remington hi speed and hypersonic shells gave problems. The shell was apparenty a tad longer and caused issues with hang ups
 
Nope you guys are right . They were 3 inch winchester shells . I've shot 3 inch remington slugs with no issues . Thanks for the input guys
 
Hey i am looking for a new pump shotgun.. And this gun has cought my eye. I was originally gonna buy a Sx3 or Maxus but then i put most of my money intio my 1976 Ford Highboy.. :wink: So i can't afford one right now but in the future will probably own one. I had a Remington 870 Super mag JUNK. I have had to send it back to the factory 5 or 6 times before i sold it. Now i know this gun is made in Turkey but that doesn't bother me i have had two other shotguns that where made over there and they are great guns. I want the 3.5 version. Now i know you don't necesarily need the 3.5 option. But i just want it so i know i can feed my shotgun anything. I want to know if anyone out there owns one or has shot one. And if you have had any problems with them. And if you would suggest one. I need to know quick because i plan on buying one in a few days.. Thanks.

In case you buy a used sxp in 3.5", you should know that there was a recall on them for safety concerns. The guns will be fixed by Winchester and are fine, but in case you buy used, make sure it has already been fixed. Overall, the SXP is a good gun. If you're not happy with an 870, you may want to check out a Mossberg 835 as well. Just for comparison purposes
 
I own the 3.5" sxp and could not be happier. I have not had one jam yet and have used 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2 inch shells. I have only used Winchester and Remington ammo. I also bout some dummy rounds when I got mine to get used to it and to work it in.
I had the recall done also.
