Hi guys,

Doesn't anyone know if the barrel on the Winchester SXP Defender, is interchangeable with the other barrels for the SXP line of shotguns?

I know that the Defender has a short smooth bore, so I can shoot almost anything, but sabots, which need a rifled barrel.

Also, if it would take a longer smooth barrel, so that I could switch to using it for skeet/trap.

Or vice versa, a regular SXP with longer barrel to convert to shorter barrel.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure. I know the 1300 defenders had a 7 shot mag tube not a standard 5 tube. So the barrels were not interchangeable.

After looking at Winchester guns. Com you can quickly see that the standard field guns are a 4+1 capacity. The camp/field combo and defender guns are a 5+1 capacity. So the only long barrel you could use would likely be from the camp field combo. I'd call or email Winchester for 100% clarification.
