I picked up another SXP today, this time it's a Marine Defender. Nice all weather shotgun and handy with the Invector + chokes.
It's drilled / tapped for a scope base but I was having a hard time tracking down a weaver base (216M if recall), or finding any other listings for one.
Anyhow, I had some bases kicking around the shop so I figured I'd see if anything fit. The Weaver 51S bases are a perfect fit and should be pretty common to find (Savage 110 mounts).
They're low enough to still see the front bead.
I had a junk Simmons scope kicking around so I tossed it on for pictures sake.
I'll likely grab a VX-1 2-7 S/G scope.
