Winchester sxp shotguns

Anybody have any experience with these shotguns? I'm hoping to buy one this year, but want to be sure it is a good reliable gun!

I,ve got the 18 1/2 inch barrel model. open cylinder . 5 rounds in the tube and 1 up the pipe. Cycles as smooth as puppy S...t. i'm trying to track down a matching 28 inch barrel.
 
Thanks for the input, how does the stock hold up? And the Gap at the ejection port, when the bolt is closed? Does it ever get stuff in it? I'm really trying to research before I buy one, I'm also looking at the weatherby PA-08, which looks like a very nice gun also! I'm still saving up for it! The weatherby is about $70 bucks cheaper. Doesn't look like it sacrifices any quality though!
 
The SXP has a synthetic stock with a shock pad on the end of it. Never had any problems with stuff getting in the ejection port, but then I don't crawl around on the ground with it either. Remember they are both entry level shot guns at a entry level price. But still lots of fun. A friend of mine has the weatherby pump (a very pretty looking gun), but it doesn't cycle as good as my Winchester.
 
Thanks again, I have read quite a few comments on YouTube about both of those shotguns! I'm still leaning more towards the Winchester! For the extra 60 bucks I find it's worth it to have a better butt pad and the gas assisted pump mechanism!
 
When you pick it up would you please ask if it's possible to buy the 28 inch barrel seperately . I would like to get one to go along with my 18 1/2 barrel.

Bought the field/camp combo at P&D a couple weeks ago. $472 after taxes. The shotgun gun guys were extremley helpful. Wicked gun with a very fast action
 
Unfortunately, P and D was sold out. And I was too impatient for them to get more in, Ended up just buying the 28" model from Cabelas. Stupid on my part, but I have it now. And if I want a gun for bear protection, I'll go buy a cheap pistol grip maverick or something? Itching to get out shooting with this new gun!
 
The SXP is the basically the same as the old Winchester 1200 (1300, 2200, Ranger, etc), with some minor improvements and cosmetic changes. They are great guns and have been used by many military and law enforcement agencies around the world for years.

I learned to shoot with an older 2200 model that my dad purchased new in 1978.
+20000 rds have been thru the gun...replaced the firing pin around 15 000 rds and the action arms assembly at about 18 500 rds. Needless to say they are very dependable and reliable...even if I prefer the Remington 870 Wingmaster!

Does that mean that you can interchange the barrels?
