I have a quick question about the sxp.I hunt waterfowl with an sx3 and my backup gun is a benelli nova.I recently had the chance to hold an sxp and really liked the feel.Would it be worth picking one up, for the compatibility of the same chokes, instead of having two different types in my blind bag.Any info on the sxp would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Irish

I've had the SXP camp combo, and currently have the SXP Marine defender. They are a very durable gun and I've been very happy with them. I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering picking one up.

I won one at a DU event last year. Love it. Better built then an 870 express and has a backbored barrel. This is either a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it.

Would it be worth selling the Nova? I dunno

I have two SXP 12 gauges (one 3", one 3.5"). No issues with either of them (low round count). Have used them in poor weather conditions without any problems. They cycle very fast for a pump. I like the 3" chamber version best. I use them as backup to my Browning Silver Lightning (the chokes are interchangeable with this model as both are invector plus).

Always worth buying more guns but with an sx3 and nova doubt you will need your extra backup gun. You have one of the best pumps and semis on the market but those sxps are nice and smooth.
