Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with the new Winchester SXP pump guns?

I belive it is just a old 1300 thats been resurrected and now made in Turkey?

I am abroad for a while so have not handled one but am looking at getting a utility grade pump and besides the usual suspects of 870 vs. 500 I am interested in the SXP, especially for the price.

Thanks

My buddy is looking for one, but apparently they have not been released in Canada yet, so Winchester has told him. Not sure if they ever will be.

I'm surprised Winchester even knows where Canada is. I called them asking about my 2200 that is supposedly a 1200 re branded for the Canadian market and they didn't even know it existed.

From seeing the Winchester online propaganda about it, it looks like a pretty decent piece.

Cabelas.ca lists it do they not?

Yep, they list it. He called them and they said they've yet to see any.

Lebaron lists it as well, but they've never a had any in either. He had a local dealer call the Winchester/Browning distributor in Canada, and they told him there are none.

FWIW, Winchester as a firearms company has not existing since the 80s.
FN Herstal manufacturing Inc owns the trademark rights for Winchester and Browning firearms.

I'm not surprised they didn't know anything about your 2200 as it was pre-FN Herstal manufacturing Inc.
