Winchester wildcat rifle

No, last update from the dealer I placed my pre-order with was mid July, lol. From what I can see they haven’t even been released in the US yet, so prob still be a while before we see them here. Not sure what the hold up is, anxious to get my hands on one.

Wasn't there a Winchester Wildcat .22 years ago that was actually a rebranded Russian TOZ?

Yes, it was a TOZ 78, produced in both light barrel and varmint versions.

^correct, but I believe the OP was asking about their new semi coming to market; http://www.winchesterguns.com/news/articles/wildcat-uncaged.html

Winchester ought to slap themselves for using the same name they gave the re-branded Russian bolt guns they sold years ago. lol The new semi is intriguing, and I was particularly interested in it for high-volume gopher "work". Maybe. 22 semis get dirty too easily, and gophering is a windy...dusty pursuit as it is. The way this action basically drops out would make it great for that...as a quick/easy field clean would be awesome. I've always left my Marlin 795 out of this pursuit, as the idea of allen keys and small/loose parts in the field~not ideal.

I didn't read the review, but I was skeptical this gun would be accurate/reliable. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe the delays=fine tuning the design...? Hope so.

Sorry, my bad. I forgot I started this thread.
I called Winchester and they said they won’t make it to US stores till October. He said maybe Canada by Christmas. He suggested maybe I could get a great deal on Boxing Day. I don’t think he knows what Canadian sales are like compared to US sales.
