Winchester ???

Only if you find one a dealer still has in stock. Olin has closed the New Haven factory. Some high end "Winchesters" might still be made in Japan, I don't know if FN in Belgium will make any, but I understand the regular run of Winchesters are KAPUT!

Winchester did sign an agreement with Browning ,so it is possible that Browning may at some time re-introduce some models if the interest is high enough. However,at this time, there are no winchester rifles being built.

BTW Olin has nothing to do with the manufacture of firearms.
Winchester Arms was owned by a conglomoriate from Europe called GIAT.
They closed the doors at the end of March and just recently made notice of the factories equiptment being auctioned off.
I can't see much coming for sometime. marlin has the CF lever market well in hand and with Remigton snagging Charles Daily's 98 Mausers the CRF market is satisfied so unless the stars align your gonna have to take pot luck for what's left in dealers and distributers stock.

Ive been lucky to find one of almost all of the new ones during the last 8 months, I was amazed how many dealers after saying no, actually looked and came back saying, "wow there is one in the stock room", ive bought 7 in the last while...........lever fever pretty bad

Winchester announced last month that it has entered into a long-term license agreement with Browning for the manufacture and distribution of Winchester brand rifles and shotguns.

What this means is that there is a very good possibility we will be seeing Japanese built Model 70s and possibly '94s in the future. :D
