Was sighting in my buddy's new Nikon scope for him and it was printing about 2 feet right at 50 yards.
I kept moving the windage left untill I was dead on at 50 then moved back to 100 yards to fine tune it. I got a 3 round group of a 1/2 inch about 2 inches right but found that after moving the windage left another 4 clicks it seemed to "bottom out"---that is to say that it refused to turn any more.
I know that I really turned the crap out of it to get it over that first few feet but do the adjustment knobs have a maximum distance they can be turned?
I've never had this happen before but to be truthful I have never had to move the crosshairs that far before.
Any thoughts guys???

All scopes have a max. that they can be adjusted and its not alot, if you run out of travel you have a few options.....If its elevation use a shim inside rear ring...If its windage try turning rings around to other side.....this is if you have already tried the windage adj. on mount if so equipped.Bore sighting ahead of time would point this potential problem out before you waste a trip to the range.
