Only had a few minutes to play with my 17hmr the other day But I'm thinking my windage turret is backwards on it.

It says turn one way for Right but the more I turn that way, the farther left it shoots.

Anyone ever had this before?

The scope is a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40mm. Brand new first gun mounted on.

No wind, 50 yards at the range. Love the gun though.

Kind of looks like your scope is mounted 1/4 turn too much to the left. Windage turret should be on right side if I'm not mistaken. By the looks of your bipod, it's on backwards too.

Dosnt matter which way your scope is rotated as long as you know which way your moving it when sighting it in, the only issue would be elevation since now your elevation is windage and windage is elevation.

Many scopes use a common cap for both elevation and windage. It's typically marked U/R, meaning that if it's the elevation turret you turn it that way for up and if it's the windage turret you turn it that way for right. When you mount the scope 45 degrees out of whack, the dial moves the windage crosshair in the opposite direction as indicated.

lol comes down to people reading before installing. As for the bipod on backwards wont work because when you push on it the legs will fold back on you.

Yes looks like scope is mounted wrong, need to loosen rings and rotate scope clockwise so turret is on right. Right now everytime u turn the turret u are actually turning the elevation turret higher.

If that is the orig picture, then the logo is in the right place. Can't tell if the windage knob is on the proper side - maybe a top view pic will resolve questions.

It happens.

Windage is on the right side in that pic, It is hard to see but that is the right side.
I think the bipod is tilted one way a bit making the scope look a little crooked.

Bipod legs fold up away from the stock under the barrel, I just threw it on for the pics LOL newfy me put it on backwards.

Well, had a nice chuckle today when I saw a US assembled Zeiss Conquest. The knobs rotate the "wrong" way too.

I just thought it was European supplied products like S&B. But it is not out of the question... just odd.

As long as the tracking agrees with the turret markings, it's all good.
