My best bet to post a Q in this rimfire thread, hoping somebody will chime in.
I am shooting airguns only in .22 and .25 @ SGC, 50 and 100 Meters rings only. Tried 200M but that is a long stretch for airguns and the results are not consistent, so why bother :).
Summer weather was kind of OK-ish but me preparing now for winter shooting and more windy days.
I am looking for any Wind indicators/windflags supplier in Canada but not much luck, there are products in US but they doesn't ship across the border (they calling it internationally).
Target shooters, what you using?

I'm using Graham wind flags , but they are out of the US. They had no problems shipping them back when I bought them but the shipping was pricey. I'm using photography light stands to mount the flags to. Ezel makes nice flags as well .

You could have them shipped to the other side of the border then drive a cross and pick them up.

Exactly one year ago I 3d printed couple of these in the picture, these were outside over the winter to test the material how the cold effects the resin. The material exceeded my expectation, only the arrow spins too fast /erratic to be considered a valid pointer.
I just mounted again one today in the backyard to test again, I think it is way too sensitive. Browsing now amazon what can I use for a tail if that would slow it down.

This picture was taken back in March when the snow started melting.

Yes I think a long heavy ribbon tail will help slow down the movement. The ribbon will also provide an angle to judge speed (if not using the Kestrel - BTW cool design with that Kestrel mount!).

Also, if possible with your 3D printer, I suggest making the tail section longer (maybe twice as long) than the front pointer section so that the pivot point is not in the center, but instead is closer to the front pointer. That way the tail "wants" to stay downwind for longer. A common design is also to place a ball (e.g. foam ball, or fishing bobber) on the front pointer. I don't know if the ball is a counter weight, or if its an aerodynamic thing, or both, but it seems to be a common feature.

I know the OP wanted to purchase wind flags, not do a DIY project. If you change your mind to try a DIY, for some ideas I posted my inexpensive project design on this thread: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2177490-DIY-Rimfire-50m-Range-Wind-Flags

After alot of use, I am changing this design slightly. The wire gauge I used for the flag arm was very light and the flags can be twitchy (too sensitive). I recently replaced the wire with much heavier wire rod to dampen them, and it is an improvement.

The overall design and bases were originally made for deep snow where the post could slide down into the snow (we have a heated shooting house on our 50m rimfire range so we can shoot all winter). In summer when set on the bare ground the base and post can blow over when the wind is up. For the snow-free seasons I think need to either expand the base size, or use tent pegs to hold them down

The Graham wind flags and the Ballistic Junkies do have more weight in the vain and the ball (or propeller).
The flagging is to judge wind speed.
With a heavier vain and the ball, in my case, while sensitive it is not jittery.

Yes the DIY would be the best for my budget. Ordering ready windflags from US that is about $100 CAD a piece, and I need 2-3 up to 50 Meters or at least 3 for 100M. For that money many other things can be bought. 3d printing is relatively inexpensive (and fun 2) once the printer is in the basement. But I wanted to get one "proven - working" to revers engineer.
I was playing with this my Weather Meter for some time, in combination with Strelok Pro promising the life shall be much easier.

there is a reason graham wind are chosen for real accuracy work

the op has never bought anything of real value

he buys very few things in Canada and is always looking for the China alternative or do-it-myself way

he never gives in to reason or logic as to why things are the best
then in a year or so says he stuff did not work

just buy a real wind flag and then copy it
please be sure to tell the manufacturer you are doing that

facepalm

I wanted to buy from US suppliers many times in recent years
but they don't want to ship to Canada or don't want to bother with regulation/paperwork, so I researched and found alternate sources.
Or for a $5 screw asking $60 to be mailed. Yeah right, you can call the guy (myself) whatever you want.

For every money there is something to buy...there are graham wind and at least 5-6 more popular designs, doesn't take you an engineer to replicate from online pictures for fragments $. You don't do it you buy "new" and please pay. I have other hobby's to feed as well.

I have some cheap flags from Home Depot, I tape lengths of flagging/mating tape to them. I use this at the target and shooting location. I also made a real pivoting flag from UHMW plastic, a carbon fiber arrow, and some red plastic from Rona. I also put a length of flagging tape on it for wind speed. It works excellent and I place this usually midpoint.

My US friends still doing airgun competition

EBR games some of these videos showing some impressive organizational skills I have not seen in Canada.

Many of the using dual blade + 2 colours, those are visible how the wind changes into 45 degree. I got some perforated plastic sheets may make some wind arrows for trials, not sure only how much of a weight on the tip...

here in alberta I have posted many times to,use someone like DYKpost who have an office at the usa border and they clear customs for you and deliver it to the major cities in your province
easy Peary to,almost your door

one wind flag would be under 40,bucks including a tax

:) cmon, for a windflag ... we don't want to make a big circus around it, I would cross the border for something big or heavy, or bigger value, I did that many times earlier years.
It won't be pretty but for sure we can make couple of them in the afternoon. And btw winter is knocking at the door, what we gonna do for six months ;)
