Windsor Sportsmen's Club Now Open for the Season

Why are you only open til 2 on thurs? Used to be it would pretty much stay open as long as there were guys there shooting. Now you just cater to retirees and the ‘lunch break’ crowd. And on top of that, theres so much sitting around and gabbing in between rounds it takes forever to get a round or two in. Was considering getting a membership again but wont bother, your club doesnt make it easy for the average working Joe to get any shooting in.
 
The club's ranges are run by volunteers and typically on Thursdays the "regulars" are finished shooting after lunch. If we have a few shooters, we shoot. But don't show up alone at 1:55 pm when the RSO is starting to close and expect the range to remain open. It's unfortunate you have decided not to renew your membership because the range hours don't fit your schedule. You are always welcome to pay the non-member rate of only $7.00 or drop by on Saturdays.
 
Most people just want to come and shoot and go home. Folks are needed to volunteer to open, set up, take the money, put everything away and close. If you don't like the hours that the club is open, perhaps you and a couple of your buddies can make an effort to open additional hours that suit your schedule.

There aren't very many clubs out there that don't suffer from a lack of volunteers ...
