Nee mid fifties.
Just curious as to what my barrel options are if I choose to
find another one?
Am I solely opted to the 16 gauge or will a 12 fit?
It is chambered for 2 3/4" only.
I has a 28" barrel on it now and I find it a tad long for the rig
I run.
Don't wish to cut this barrel and lose the choke.
Cheers.

Have a few of these guns since I have a soft spot for them. It was the very 1st new gun my grandfather bought me in the 60's and I still have that one also. If you look on the EE I have a WTB add running some time looking for VR barrels. So far bought zero off the EE. Did get one off gunnutz in 26" and had Briley fit tubes and ordered a brand new 26" barrel in from Remington with tubes to the tune of $375 with one tube, 45 each for the other two.
Plain barrels you will find other than IC which are tough and short barrels are also not easy to find 28 was the common one. Most times it is cheaper to buy another gun just for the barrel . 12ga not a option. 16ga express yes express they made them will also fit the old wingmasters and they have 26" choke tubed barrels but again are impossible to find in canada. Also like other wingmasters the second generation does not have the quality of the originals. All that being said I still love the 16ga wingmasters.
