Are the recoil pads glued on these stocks? There are screw holes on the pad but I can't feel a screw head when put a screwdriver in them. I'm pretty sure I'm chasing my tail here, but I just want to confirm.

They are glued on. I have never tried to remove the factory thin black rubber pad but I'm sure it could be done. The winchesters have a 13.75 lop so you would likely have to cut the stock to add a thicker pad anyways.

I was actually thinking of increasing it to closer to 14(same as my other rifles). It looks like, if I could get the pad off, a one inch pad would be perfect. Thanks again Buckmastr you got my back today haha
