Hey peggers,

Where do you guys like to shop for your reloading supplies/equipment?

I've read enough books to wet my appetite and now I want to try this out. I already have a Lyman Tmax kit so I'm looking to pick up some odd and end equipment (including dies and such), powder and primers for .308.

toymaker is right. those are our only viable options in town.... SIR doesn't always have stock on some things... I still buy the majority of my supplies elsewhere and site rules prohibit me from telling you where...

Also, there will be a gun show near the end of the month at the Canad Inn, Polo Park. You can often find good deals on reloading components at gun shows.

Sportsmans in Fargo is great for stocking up, odds and ends in Winnipeg. Check the border restrictions for both sides before buying stateside though.

I don't know, maybe it's just a rural thing but I went to the last Brandon show everything seemed ratty old(or perhaps antique:redface:) and overpriced. The only thing I bought was a few bags of shot that were proabably older than me, my buddy bought honey:rolleyes:

That is typical of the Manitoba shows....the good stuff is saved for the US buyers and big money comes from these sales. Pity it is as we should be keeping some of the collectible stuff in Canada. You can find better stuff on CGN even buying... almost "blind" .

+1, between sportsmans and scheels, you'll find everything you can legally bring back.

It was kind of funny, last time I was in WSS, buying bullets. The guy grabbed the two boxes I wanted and knocked the rest of the shelf over. I think about 5-6 boxes busted open, maybe they're on sale cheap, I bought .451 gold dots, I think the open boxes were the same. Reloading is the only way to get hollowpoints for .45, why they need to sell 10 different kinds of FMJ 230gr is beyond me.

be careful guys... the mods will step in if you discuss illegal activities on the site... even if it's in another country. that was the reason for my veiled response.... legally, non-resident aliens cannot purchase anything in the states... bullets powder, primers brass, anything. that being said, no one cares on the states side, unless ATF is set up on the american side. they were a couple weeks ago.

It's all good, no mention of any of those things, there are plenty of things you can buy stateside that are related to reloading and are legit such as presses, dies, molds, etc. Were nothing but upstanding, law abiding folks in Manitoba:)

wasn't trying to rain on anyone's parade here... just don't want to see anyone get banned, that's all. Hey, I buy almost all my stuff " down there", so I'm on your side on this.
