Hi all

Canadian Multigun´s Winter Brutality 2025 event is being sponsored by Sterling Arms International with 2x R9 Mk1s and 5000 rounds of ammunition for competitors to run through on 2 separate stages at the event.

Some of the CFET team are also on the CM team. We think that it is a rare opportunity for a comparatively new to the market firearm to immediately be put to use under physically and environmentally testing circumstances by 75-100 people. Especially as all are using the same ammo, mags, conducting the same activity, same round count per person, using the firearm at different stages of the competition and round count through the gun.

As such we are going to see if we can capture both hard and soft data from the event for a special CFET report on the firearm. A "Winter Brutality 5k test" so to speak.

It time allows for us to collect the needed information (it´s possible running the event will take up all the required time) we´ll create this report but it likely won´t be as detailed as our usual reports simply because it´s being done over 2-3 days instead of 2-3 months.

Fingers crossed all goes well and we can come back and talk about this in a few weeks

Sadly the event was just too busy to collect the data we wanted and rely to give you good information

That's a shame - missed opportunity. Any general observations from the Range Stafff as to how the 2 carbines functioned throughout the match?
I've had 3 FTE and only 750 rounds through it.

Could be the cheap CCI blazer ammo I'm using.

Finally cleaned it this evening, hopefully it's good to go at the range again tomorrow.

Aluminum or Brass casings? If it is the aluminum-cased Blazer then I am not at all surprised...
