Well, My dad, myself and a good friend all shot yesterday in the snow blizzard with 50km/hr wind, gusting to 80 km/hr. Wind was on our back so the targets were diving straight down, the lost targets landed halfway between the house and the pins. We had a blast and shot well. Scores were 23's and 24's had by all (maybe I shot a 21 on the last round) and we shot 5 rounds. Was some of the funnest shooting I've ever done.

I actually enjoy skeet in high winds , the doubles can be a real challenge. It's -43 here now, so we won't shoot today. This is the second Sunday lost to cold, and hopefully it is the last this year.

It should warm up enough by Wednesday to enjoy shooting up here, so we are planning to get out and shoot some skeet then.

Do you guys put a team or two together from your club and attend the Family Fair shoot Hamilton Gun Club hosts the first sunday after new years day? I guess I should have asked if they still have it? It used to be the largest attended trap shoot each year in Ontario at one time.

We don’t have enough guys at our club to do that. This will be my first year shooting ATA. There are only three of us at our club that are going to shoot local ATA. We might go the the Great Lakes Grand this year, it’s only 2 hours away from where we live.

Our cutoff is -12 including wind chill, we lost the last two Sundays, and the next Sunday will be close, according to the forecast. We usually lose 4-5 days per winter, due to the cold.
