5046. GERMAN MAUSER, WW-I 13m/m ANTI TANK GUN. The big shoulder fired rifle, 67 inches overall, weighing about 50 pounds. Complete with bipod. Seldom found or seen at Gun Shows, only the big museums have them. You will look long and hard to find another. Serial #5938,$8500

Just got an e-mail with this in the listing; cool, eh?

Google Mauser TuF for photos. There is even a U-tube of a guy firing one.

Brass is being made in Vienna but it is a terrifying price. You can fake it with .50BMG brass.

A MOST Impressive Toy for the period.

Americans copied the German powder for the .50BMG, so likely you can get away with 5010 or 8700. You might use something as fast as 4831 if you were shooting cast bullets, but I think I would keep the loads pretty light.

Get that and you are prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse, T-Rexes AND the Biggest Moooose In The World.
.

Here are some reference pictures I found on google a few years ago. You may think this rifle is small but check out the period photo comparision to a SMLE and to the German soldier who is using it in another. I would not want only the steel butt plate between the rifle and my shoulder when firing this monster.

Bore caliber for the shown rifle at the bottom is 10.0mm.

i have a video called "deadly weapons".
in it a man called richard davis (second chance founder) shoots a model
1918 mauser antitank rifle.
if i knew how to cut that part out of the dvd i'd post it.

I just saw one of these on "Pawnathon Canada". A Legion had one in their collection and the guy was selling it to the pawnmasters to raise funds for his branch. I'dont recall how much he sold it for. It was impressive.

Now just WHERE are you going to get ammunition for it?
I once got to shoot a Boys anti tank rifle and I think thnk this one would be even NASTIER:eek:
There's not even a hint of a recoil reducer on it!
The germans made this thing as a desperation project and I would bet it was not popular with the poor bastard who had to fire it

About the only good thing you could say about it was the .50 BMG round was developed from it
