Earlier this year, I bought 4 entries for moose hunting in a couple of Quebec's wildlife reserves. I did not get drawn. Oh well - maybe plan a couple of long weekends for grouse and woodcock with the pooches.
I pick up my phone messages last night and one is from the Matane reserve - slots have opened up and they are trying to sell them. Packages are 4 days, 2-4 hunters, guided, 1 moose either ### or, 4-8 hunters, 2 moose, either ###. The single moose package is around $6K ($3K/hunter if 2, $1.5K/hunter if 4). Success rate is around 96%.
