Well the topic says it all. I'm counting down to the spring season. Not until then I won't be able to justify any of my hunting trips with my wife. But really I've been too busy to even post anything here. :(

Obviously with the SKS being an assault rifle you shot the 2 Bears AND the 4 Deer with one pull of the trigger. And it must have been an accident since that is not a hunting gun.

The SKS is really just a military-ied up semi-auto rifle. Therefore it is actually very suitable for hunting purposes as long as you are using soft point hunting ammo sold at wholesale sports for example. Why it ain't no different a rifle than a ruger m-14 bored in 7.62mm x 39 other than the Ruger is more accurate. But as a hunting carbine rifle for sure. Perfect for deer out to 100 yards maybe a tad further, beer well don't push it. I would not use it on a grizz.

What? Excuse me but...Any SKS will out shoot any Mini 14 any day. :D

Also I'm setting up for SKS hunting this season as I type this, and I have approx 60 rounds of commercial soft points, and a whole bunch of Milsurp to swap bullets on. :D

I have to catch up to Mr.rollingrock. :D
