Hello everyone! Long time shooter, new time owner of a WK180-C. It's working well but after about 300 rounds I'm suffering from some common problems and need some tips to fix them. Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this is really newbie:

1) The handguard is quite loose. Is it as simple as tightening the screws? I've tried many different allen keys and torque and the screws do not budge. Is there some tip or trick I'm missing with this handguard, or should I really dig in to those screws??

2) The gas piston screw, forward facing above the handguard is loose. I want to locktite this and tighten it, however I'm nervous that is has some sort of specific setting? Do I need to be particular with how tight this is or can I just tighten it down until it's snug and be on my way.

Thanks again,

Kodiak seems to employ monkeys who have no idea what torque is. The handguard screws on the 1st gen at least are 3mm. Some were loctited by the factory, others not.
Try heating them up with a hair dryer or heat gun.

The gas piston screw, just take it out and put a drop of blue loctite on it. Watch the piston cup doesn't come shooting out. Tighten the SHCS until it snugs up/bottoms out.

Thanks so much! I feel better knowing that I can just tighten the gas screw without messing up a setting or adjustment.

The handguard sounds like it's going to be a pain. I have really gone hard on the screws and not one is budging, and I've managed to strip a few in the process.... I need an adult.

You are not the only one who has had this issue. On mine (one of the first 150 units) I had 2 screws with loctite and the rest with none. Some were tightened like crazy, others were what I would consider to be normal for a fastener of that size.

Also many reports of the gas screw falling out, so a drop of blue is definitely in order.
