Wk gen2 ATRS barrel?

Was wondering if anyone out there had experiences with the wk180 gen 1 replacement barrels that ATRS was machining?

A lighter weight higher quality atrs barrel on a gen 2 sounds awesome. That is, if they’re even doing that still

I emailed ATRS about a gen 2 barrel and while they don't stock them, have the capacity to make one. I believe the turnaround time was 6 weeks or so.

I believe they were doing the barrels as requested. If you contacted them they’d probably make one for you, but it was my understanding they didn’t keep any on the shelf

IBI also makes barrels for the wk180. Im sure they'd do a custom on in a lighter profile. Not cheap though

Sweet, thanks fellas. I have to keep scanning threads and look for compatible barrels and hand guards (I assume the same gen1 guards fit).

180 barrel is an AR barrel, but carbine length gas (which makes it an odd duck). anyone who sells AR barrels should be able to provide.

I recall Faxon Firearms (an American company) made a custom run of 18.6" Gunner profile AR barrels. I know it comes down to a minimum order size, so perhaps we can get them to do something like this again if there are enough people interested? I know I am. True North Arms can order them in - I know because I've ordered a couple of Faxon barrels from them!

Those fellas are typically good for quick email responses, maybe I’ll inquire man. Would be nice if they started up with gen2 receivers to build a x39 dedicated upper also.
