I want this thread to stay away from general discussion of the rifle and focus strictly on our creative build ideas that require aftermarket supported items. In creating this thread I hope either Wolverine or an aspiring company that works with Wolverine will see our wishes and bring them to market. It's no secret that this rifle is a hot ticket item and even the Wolverine crew has stated themselves that "demand has exceeded their wildest expectations."

I will start off the thread by saying I would love to do a retro furniture build but that would require a rifle length piston and preferably an A2 style gas block that was compatible with the piston system.

If I were to not go the retro route my next wish would be for an ACR stock adapter

X2 for an ACR stock adapter. It does bring a nice modern look to the 180b platform. I think the best selling aftermarket part for this rifle will be stock adapters.

However..... I personally prefer the retro furniture mock up. It looks awesome but would be a fairly expensive upgrade kit. You would most likely, as you mentioned, require a re-engineered gas block with front sight post and a longer piston system. Also you'd need another barrel with a rifle length gas system. It's totally doable but wouldn't be a "cheap" upgrade. Regardless I'd be in for 1 retro upgrade kit.

I am interested in a skeleton stock (ace fx) but won't look into it too much until I receive my rifle. Folding would be ideal.

I'll probably put some hk irons on it as well.

Maybe some type of cover for the left side charging handle slot for those who aren't going to put the charging handle on the left side? I don't care about the right side being open but since I won't be running the charging handle on the left side there is no need for the left side to remain open.

Right this is another desire of mine also. It should be a universal kit that has a piece for either side, not leaving out lefties or those that run the charging handle on the right. My idea would be similar to how the CX4 Storm does their ambi pop in cover.

Which irons will work best? Can anyone identify the folding irons (I assume) on the sample? I was looking at CTSC's offerings last night....

Hey, perhaps you could do a mock up of one with a Rob Arms XCR Fast Stock and see what it looks like?

If it looks good, an adapter to fit may be another option. I have a spare fast stock I could put on mine and I know there are several other fast stocks floating around. Plus they are available to buy new. Might be another option.

The Fast Stock IMHO would be a better choice than the basic ACE FX folder because the fast stock gives you adjustability and it gives you a much more comfortable cheek weld.

I have a feeling that various stock adapters are going to be the biggest selling accessory for the WK180-C

From my quick search the xcr fast stock comes in at a pretty steep price tag of $399.99 Canadian. There is also three different versions of the fast stock and I wasn't sure what one you wanted. The fast stock 1 and 2 are very similar looking, where as 3 has more of a dmr look. I went ahead and mocked up 1 & 3.

I think I personally still prefer the acr stock's look to the xcr as the acr follows the narrowing body lines of the receiver much better but more options are never a bad thing :)

The fast stock 1 and 2 are the ones I was meaning and it does look good on this rifle.

The new fast stock 3 is a horrendous abortion of a mess. I hate the look of the fast stock 3, even on the rifle it's intended for.

Thanks for doing the pictures. I agree the ACR stock suits the WK180-C better though, and it's a little more cost effective.

Another idea I've had which may be a little far fetched and still needs some of the concept worked out as to how it would be held in place is not only a insert for the unused opening for the charging handle on the right side but also the addition of a dust cover. My idea for the insert would be a premium version separate from the request on the previous page. This design incorporates a full seal for the right side of the receiver, a shell deflector and a dust cover. Just throwing it out there as I've seen people wishing for a dust cover from factory but if this was done properly some how, could fulfill the desire in the aftermarket world.

I understand that people find rails and locking slots on handguards to be useful, but they are absolutely hideous to my eye. In fact, I have never seen any kind of free floating handguard that looked decent. My number one desire would therefore be a classic sort of handguard arrangement: supported at the back by the receiver; at the front by the gas block; with the only holes being for ventilation. And no dammed rails, anywhere.

This has been seen in another thread but I feel it should be shown here also as it pertains to driller's idea above.

I have this exact stock on my AR180B, and it looks and works great, only complaint is the poor cheek weld that you get. Almost needs a firm foam tube on the upper pipe of the stock....

I’m interested in hearing what irons and optics people are thinking with these.

Also which pistol mags are decent? I’m new to this type of rifle so please forgive my “newbness” 😃

It looks like there is a version also available with that very feature. Whether or not it would use the same adapter I have no idea, hopefully though. :)

I have this stock - the ARFX. It fits the AR, so it should be a direct bolt-on to this new gun. I'm planning to put it on mine until I figure out whether I like something else more :)
