I would like to convert a .223 wk180c into a .204.

My understanding is the bolt is the same?
so all i would need is a barrel with the carbine length gas system, check headspace and im good to go as long as my magazine holds the .204 rounds?

can someone with more knowledge here chime in and give their thoughts before i import a .204 barrel

thank you

You shouldn't have an issue, other than finding an 18.5"+ barrel with a carbine gas port. It's already a weird combination, and it has no reason to exist especially in the USA.

The biggest question is "Why?", though I know the answer may simply be "Why not?".

I’m interested in that as well.
The rounds fit in the lar 10 mags perfectly.
Maybe IBI can do a barrel?

And once you import a barrel, headspace is what it is.
I don’t think you can fix it that easily.
I think it’s best to source a barrel from an Canadian company, like ATRS and have them make sure the barrel is in spec.
