So im getting very tired of waiting for my updated PAL card and ATT paperwork so I can take my AR15 to the range (how hard can it be to fix one printer!!!???)

Im getting the itch to buy a NR rifle to take to the range in the meantime. However Im torn between the WK180c and Stag 10 LEV2. Currently I dont hunt but might in the future, just target shooting for now, and my local range is only 100 yards :/

The Stag 10 seems like a much better quality rifle and and also easier to upgrade/find parts. Has chrome lined barrel which is likely much better than the WK180c barrel. I really like the lifetime warranty of the Stag 10 also.

The WK180c needs a new trigger off the bat, and I would likely put a longer hand guard on it so that puts it close to the price of the Stag 10

$1095 $225 for Geissele (G2S) Trigger $150 for TNA 17in Handguard

WK180c + Mods = $1470

Stag 10 = $1950

The main con of the Stag 10 for me is I would have to get into .308 ammo, i would prefer to stay with 5.56 as I already bought lots for my AR15 and its much cheaper.

Does anyone here own both? is the Stag 10 worth the extra cash over the WK180C? I cant seem to find much comparisons between the two.

Thanks for any advice!

The cost of ammo might be more important so you can actually get out and shoot to your heart's content. I shot a wk-180 this weekend at the Wolverine event and thought it was pretty decent.

I own both, they are an apples to oranges comparison. The WK doesn't "need" a trigger it just starts off pretty rough.

Yes they are two very different beasts, probably why I cant find any comparisons. However currently I cant afford to buy both! so I must decide between the two.
i'm leaning towards the WK180c for now and possibly buying a Stag 10 at some point in the future, or maybe a nice Tikka T3x instead... so many options its hard to choose!

I agree with you on that one! I already have plenty of 5.56 so I am really tempted to take the cheap way out for now haha.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I have both as well and like B said they are apples and oranges. I put a Geissele trigger in mine and it is a fairly accurate rifle and fun to shoot. It does not compare though in my opinion with the Stag.

What kind of shooting are you planning on doing. I have never handled a stag but my 180 is relatively light and shooting off hand isn't much of a workout over my AR. The stag is going to be heavier, correct me if I'm wrong. I too want a ar10 style non restricted rifle, I just need to figure out if it fits my shooting needs

mainly just target shooting for now. you are right the Stag-10 should be heavier. I just wish i could get a NR stag 10 in 5.56!
