WMU 40 / 41 bear action so far?

I'm hunting near marten river / temagami this week, apparently it's quiet due to the large berry crop. Any feedback from the area? How's it going fellow bear hunters?

Was up in Temagami last weekend and didn’t see much sign of bear. Honestly I’ve only ever been in the area for spring and fall hunts and I was shocked at how busy the area is in the summer. The weather up there is suppose to be nice and cooler, good luck!!

went up to Temagami for the first time, around wolf lake. I caught a glimpse of a small bear running away on a portage trail, but didn't see any bear poop around. that area is quite busy with canoeist.

I have a camp just east of the sand dam road in notman township. its all crown land around the camp just purchased it this spring. i set up a bait its had good action and i see bear sign every weekend on the logging road when i come up. haven't had a chance to see with with the gun yet but there is lots of sign
