Wolf 38 Special 1000 rounds

All but one of my returns(fifty round boxes) were from Wolf, so at the range I always put the empties back in their respective boxes and return the whole thing. Don't think the boxes are reused but the plastic trays are. Gathering brass makes one appreciate a revolver so much more. Having said that, I've picked up over 1200 empty 40s&w brass left by others, so in case I have a memory lapse, I count out 100 at a time and mark down how many times I dump 100 into a box. Easier to recount if you are distracted by telephone or something. :)

use a scale. count out 100 weigh them, then weigh the rest and do the math

This ammo (.38 Special 158grain SWC) has gone up $60 for QTY 1000.
What gives? Lead hasn't become that rare nor has powder.
My last order was 60 days ago and was much cheaper.

It went up about a month ago. The prices for powder, primers and mostly brass have gone up.

i bought an electronic kitchen scale on ebay for $10. I count 100 pieces of brass, weight them, and then measure brass by weight. much easier and faster.
