I shot some Wolf reloaded .45 rounds yesterday. You can buy 1000 for 300 dollars. I am going 50/50 with a friend and buying some. The question I have is that when I shot the rounds the accuracy was fine but the smell and smoke was a little troubling. Any comments on this ammo. Are there many misfires? Never had any yesterday but only shot one mag's worth.

TIA

Were they lead projectiles? The smoke could be from the bullet lube, which isn't too uncommon. As for the smell, ask them which powder they use as they produce a different odour.

Were you shooting indoors ?? If so, was the range air system working properly ?

I have heard nothing but good reports on Wolf reloads. I don't use them as I reload my own but they are supposed to be very good.

The air system was working fine at the time, plus I shot two mags, one with Wolf and the other didn't smoke or smell.

Wolf are cheap Russian imports, they use low quality powder (dirty/lots of soot) and some kind of corrosive alloy for their cases. Hard on your firearms.
