Wolf Ammo?

I don't think the stuff can be <legally> imported into Canada as it isn't "approved" ... There definitely isn't anyone <legally> importing it anyway ...

Thanks guys. Why isn't it approved in Canada? Country of origin, or do I put it in the same category as Canadian gun laws, no logic?

It has never ben submitted for approval, likely. The US market consumes it all and there is no desire on the part of Wolf to sell in Canada.

I have a box of wolf in 7.62x39mm, looks like its really good quality that I picked up at a gun show, and I don't want to test it until I finish my project. I believe rare things end up in our display cases until we get fed up. The problem maybe the fact that if the company refuses to print their labels in english, and french in Québec that it doesn't get here.
Which leads me to a question, does anyone have products that have been imported with english only marking in the rest of Canada! For example, does anyone have any corbon ammo that can be distributed to Québec...

its a non issue , importer just have to print small stickers with the french version and slap them on the product

I saw the price of Wolf bulk ammo from Cabella's (they have it listed for less than $100 for 500 rounds) and was wondering if anybody in Canada had it at comparable prices? It's not listed on the approved ammo list.

I didn't know about that one Sig. Do they make projectiles or cartriges(sp)?

"Wolf Bullets" do casting, remanufacturing, and custom loading, small scale operation but great prices and good ammo. The are located in the Kingston, ON area I think.

They must be talking about Wolf (Russian high quality export) ammo?

More than that, check for yourself. Here we go:

blah blah blah.wolfbullets.com/

I contacted Wolf (that's Wolf from Russia, the huge manufacturer, not wolf bullets here in North America) and here's the scoop from them: They will be looking in to Canadian distributors in the near future, but right now their product is being swallowed up in current markets (including USA), and so there is no great push to break into new markets like Canada. There's no reason that they could not get into Canada immediately once they apply.

Who sells this stuff in Canada? I've seen quite a few casing around some ranges lately. They seem to have quite a few good reviews. Thanks,

Good reviews on Wolf ammo?

Please post sources...its news to most of the western world. Wolf ammo is CRAP, CRAP, CRAP. Keep that laquered, polymered cased ammo to your self, have a good gunsmith.

What do people have against good brass cases and paying for quality ammo?

It will be sometime before this happens. Also we are paying an extra 11% by buying through the US due to excise tax. Also, the approval process from Canada will take a while.

BAW HAW HAW...+2 :D

I think I heard best on course..

"Communist ammo for Communist guns"

I have seen and heard that Wolf ammo runs well in AKs, but in the AR platform all that plastic just builds up on the chamber and you get stuck casings. Saw allot of that last week.

NORTHMAN999;
Facts are NOT correct....
Marstar came to an agreement with WOlf over two years ago and we have benn "negotaiting" with Ottawa ever since.
