I have been using one for a while in a Bushmaster carbine lower with H2 buffer, with both 14.5" and 16" uppers, M16 bolt carrier, and a mix of Armalite and NHMTG mags with Magpul followers shooting 55gr FMJ LakeCity standard fare ammo.
It works really well for me, but I also had no problems with the standard buffer spring. The Wolf spring just really chambers a round with authority, and maybe in more adverse conditions than 5 or 10 round mags at the range with slow NON-RAPID fire, they may help with functioning.
As a side note - when using a friends mag, shooting hollow point 45gr rounds, it failed to chamber a round (FTF) the bolt didn't move back far enough (short stroke), or moved forward too fast and the mag couldn't push a round up fast enough.
So keep this in mind.
If you got some spare cash, try it out, but I don't really think its necessary.
Scott.
