Wolf Tokarev ammo

That is Russian wolf ammo and it isn't approved for sale in Canada. I sell Wolf Bullets remanufactured ammo...different company.

Either no one has submitted samples to CERL for testing and approval, or someone did and they failed the tests.

And to preempt the inevitable torrent of vitriol that accompanies any mention of this, these standards are applied to ALL explosives entering the country - fireworks, dynamite, ammunition, airbag inflators, road flares, model rockets, EVERY explosive is tested and if it doesn't meet specific safety guidelines for sensitivity, chemical composition, functionality, etc. then it is rejected. It is the reason Canada has one of the world's best safety records with explosives and it's not going away anytime soon, so people need to start learning to deal with it.

Wow... pot meet kettle

So, the process is that simple and all unapproved ammo failed "testing" or was never submitted for same. Given the available surplus worldwide, including 7.62x54 I find it difficult to believe that the motives are so altruistic.

You call stating facts a torrent of vitriol?

And what is so difficult to believe? There is a standard and it is universally applied. If you don't believe me (having been an explosives technician for 14 years), call the ERD and ask them yourself. 1-613-948-5200 and speak to Jean-Luc Arpin, inspector in charge of importation.

What I have heard is that Wolf sells every bullet it makes to the US market with their factories working at capacity. The issue here is not that there was any noted issue wit hthe ammo, but rather that Wolf has no interest in exporting their goods to Canada. they have certainly been unsuccessfully approached by potential Canadian distributors from what I have heard.
