Recently i got an C96 broomhandle, can't find any 7.63x25 mauser ammunition, can you guys help me to find some?
Thank you very much.

Tried some 7.62x25 for tt-33, wokrs, searched online says they are basically same, just different pressure, but still, want some real 7.63mauser.

Have you done any research on this or actually found some tests? Largely internet myth, especially if you chrono some pre-war European 7.63 Mauser. That was not weak, slow US commercial ammo.

If you want to risk a nice handgun with some Russian made burner ammo that's screaming hot, that's your choice. This guy may want to preserve his firearm though.

Some 7.62x25 is the proper pressure for the C96, some isn't (particularly the Czech 7.62x25 being loaded extra hot). Personally if I had a C96 I wouldn't be willing to potentially destroy a 1600$+ pistol over shooting some cheaper ammo. Another thing that you haven't considered in depending on the C96 they aren't all in as good shape as when they were made in the 1930s or earlier. Many are heavily worn, and coupled with potentially higher pressure ammo doesn't equal a fun day at the range.

I have considered that, and it's exactly my point. Most of the internet myth on the subject is due to the Mausers that came out of China in very poor shape, or with substandard Chinese parts. It is largely a pistol issue, not an ammo issue.

Some of the 7.62x25 is loaded for submachine guns,1800 fps. I certainly won't shoot it in my mint all matching C96,I load my own ,like I load for all my guns, rifles and handguns.

Please show one example of 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo that is factory marked/labeled/designated for SMG-ONLY. As far as I have ever been able to discover (and I have about 130+ Tokarev boxes and packets in my collection), ALL 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo was made for BOTH pistols and SMGs.

It comes on stripper clips designed to be loaded in the SMGs they had.

Here is a site you might find interesting because it has some velocities.

Tested from a CZ-52, the velocities he has listed are. Sellier and Beillot x25- 1545 fps, Bulgarian surplus x25 1543 fps, Norinco Chinese x25- 1499 fps, Polish surplus-1483 fps, Czechoslovakian 1482 fps, Chinese- 1478 fps, Shackleford's x25/30Mauser-1463 fps, Hansen 30Mauser at 1378fps, Russian x25Tokarev- 1354 fps, Fiocchi- 1318 fps.

If you screw up and put the wrong stuff in your gun you can cause it to blow up. Shooting Sellier and Beillot for example is over 10% faster than the average for the C96, not forgetting there would be some extra velocity from the extra barrel length making it significantly faster. Its your gun make your choice, but if I have something worth over 1600$ I am not going to potentially blow it up because I accidentally grabbed the wrong ammo.

Edited to add the average velocity for 7.63 Mauser is 1394ft/sec from the 5.5" barrel. The CZ 52 used a 4.7" barrel

True, but that was only for the convenience of those using the CZ SMG, the ammo is no "hotter" than any other Tokarev/Mauser ammo designed for both pistol and SMG use. You will not find any producer manual, warning, instruction, label to the contrary.
