My husband now completely refuses to have the game camera at his spot after these 2 photos..... Although, I do have lots of photos of unsuspecting game. Anyone else share his thoughts?
Thanks
Val

See... she spots it, or smells it, or something.....

Just curious, how much human scent is left on these?
Between the little light and smell, well they don't look like a
human but smell like one?

Yes, and it's funny because it had been in the woods for about a month... Through rain storms and everything. I was soooo careful when changing the card also.... Darned those noses!!!

It is no problem with it being seen, it does not spook game. I have moose eyeballing one buy the moose comes back daily. Deer just goes back to feeding. Coyotes seem not to notice. YMMV.

I have tons of these pictures, of deer smelling, looking and even licking cameras. They don't seem to be bothered by it though. Most of the time, they just return to their business, after checking it out. Bears, on the other hand, almost always check out the camera, and are quite often not as gentle on them as deer. I have several smashed cameras, even the ones inside steel lock boxes will sometimes get pulled from trees. I think that the slight noises the cameras make, triggers some investigation, and at night the IR flash faint glow gets their attention also.

Bears can be the worst, Ive heard of a few bears that get a little nosey and will actually try to pull the camera off the tree, chew on it, etc :D

all deer look at my camera when the flash goes off. Lots of deer coming up and smelling it as well. It doesn't bother them. It might spook them abit at first, but generally doesn't scare them off or anything.
