Wood Chest for Lee Enfield

Wonder if there's any plans or blueprints out there available so one could make up their own clone box....

Steppenwolf Delivers!

I have one of thee cases that my ex Father in law painted bright green, I was thinking of striping the paint some day and seeing what is underneath.

Hmmm I wonder what it is worth?

I'd like to make another for my other rifles.

Also I wasn't sure how the inserts worked.

Is it the case for a T sniper or for a Cno7 trainer? Huge difference in value.

Canadian chests have 4 screws in the hinges, Brit have 3.

Show a photo of tour rifle chest. If it's a no4T chest, they can run from $400 or so to $800 + these days. If it's a Cno7 chest, and painted over, then likely in the $40 to $80 range.

I have some of the Cno7 chests in their original paint that I flog at $100 each. Ebay will sometimes see between $120-$200 for these boxes.

If someone is going to try and make a box from scratch, the hardware can be salvaged from the Cno7 crates, or bren crates, or a host of other military chests from that era. Even the 100 rd Bren drum chest used the same hardware.

Does anyone have any photos of original chests?

I'm very interested in finding a couple to better display a couple pieces.

How hard are these to source these days?
