Neato! Well done. I'm much too lazy to do the same, but I can watch hard work all day long... I assume the front handguard is done in strips? Put the mag and optics on and post another pic, it's kinda unique.

no it is a solid block over the barrel nut.

I applaud his talent. You can tell that alot of hard work & talent went into that project. And while I'm normally not into wood, I'd be proud to have that in my safe!

I saw a dark walnut, high gloss finish on wood and metal and gold plated controls on an AR at the Shot Show a few years ago and thought whats the point? I have to say though I like the look of this project and admire the talent and workmanship on this gun. Phil.

I wouldn't do a wood AR either, but this guy can actually go out and hunt with it so it kind of opens up the opportunity's IMHO.

Makes as much sense as more cash spent on tacticool bolt ons then on the AR they are bolted to.
