Hi guys,

I was wondering where i could find full wooden full furniture/stock for the VZ58. I really searched around and the only model I found is the standard wood/epoxy one, but this is not really what I am looking for. I am looking something more like hardwood. Is there any options out there? I saw few pictures of nice wooden setup here on the forum, but no clue where they took those from.

I also saw some old used one on ebay ...but at like 325$ ...and the color does not fit between the components.

Thanks! This forum is a bless!

Unless Wolverine or DLask or Corwin-Arms comes across another stash in their travels, you're looking at over $300 on evil-bay for a complete set (just search "vz58 wood" and you'll come across a bunch of listings from the Czech Republic).

Most of the large batches of VZ-58 surplus parts are gone, used up for the Canadian imports and the American ones built off parts kits.

I have both the beaver barf, wood, and a surplus folder, all for a rifle that C-71 is going to transform from my coyote gun into a safe queen.

No, none of it is for sale... F@ck the f@ckers, it's already in my will that I'm gonna get buried with it.

ROFL hehehe .... it's good you said it because I would have been all over you for the light hardwood set!!!! This is EXACTLY what I am looking for!

Nice baby you have there Grelmar!

Hey quick question ... is a muzzle break makes a big difference on the recoil of that riffle? Call me weird, but I do like recoil on riffles (I shot the CZ858 few times). I do prefer its look with a muzzle break, but I do not want to kill that comforting gentle kiss recoil.

Thanks. Really like that gun, put a lot of time/effort/$$ into setting it up perfect for me (which is different than anyone else's perfect).

Significant difference, especially when it comes to muzzle flip. You always still feel the push on your shoulder, but the brakes do a really good job of holding the gun "flat" which makes for easier follow up shots.

Did some testing on all those brakes, recorded and analyzed it.

Quick cut of the different brakes one after the other:

WO priceless info here! Thanks for hooking me up!!!

Those are labeled for CZ 858 ...dumb question but ... will they fit bolt-on on a VZ 58 or it will need some adjustment?

Pretty sure yes. The CSA VZ 58's were originally made from imported parts kits, and they slowly moved to more and more in house production as the parts kits ran low.

Minor fitting might be needed, to the same degree as wood on any milsurp.

I wonder if I buy an unmatched set if I will be able to sand it deep enough to remove the yellowish color without abusing the stock/furniture shape too much. I would really like to stain it another color. Anyone ever tried this with this stock? It always depend of the wood hardness, so this is why I ask.
