Howdy,

I've read around, and it seems that people have replaced their Dominion Arms Grizzly 12.5'' pumps with Remington synthetic stocks. I'm wondering if anyone here has replaced with wood stock and forend, and has pics? I'm curious to see how it looks!

Wouldnt it look the same as any other 870 with a wood stock?

This is a 20g with youth stock

Looks good Rotaxpower.Tell us how you modified the front end please,if at all. I went the other way put a grizz synthetic on my 870's. The pitch is different and lowers the barrel for me in the sight picture. So instead of seeing mostly barrel and the bead, I now see the tip of the barrel and the bead. Way better sight pic for me. Only problem is having to live with the recoil pad. Would prefer a limbsaver or the other guys (Pachmayer).

Score!

Heheh...I found a wood 870 buttstock and forestock at the local gunshow today...$45, no tax.

I'm going to have to modify them a bit...shorten the butt slightly and figure what needs to go on the forestock...but after it's done I'll post a pic here.

Good times!

Cool! I haven't decided whether or not to refinish mine....it's not too bad as is. Of course shortening the fore end will involve some finish work, so I'll probably make my mind up then.

Do you have the tool needed to separate the fore end wood from the metal parts? Do you know where to get one?

what did you have to do to get it to fit, damn that is nice

A lot! It was a pain in the ass, I had to chop the fore end 4" shorter or so, then with a dremel sand the inside of it to fit. It took a few hours to do, but it looks pretty sweet :D

Reviving an old thread but Striker and Rotaxpower, did you guys have to mod the foreends at all to make them fit? Just now I tried replacing the foreend on my 12.5" Grizzly with a 870 Police wood one and it doesn't fit. The foreend tube is slightly too big. Just tried with my old Police synthetic to see if maybe it was the wood but that doesn't fit either. Did you guys have to ream the foreend out to make it a larger diameter or anything?

I can't speak for the other guys but until a couple of weeks ago I had a laminated stock set from a Remington 870 Express on my Grizzly. I didn't have to do any modifications the fore-end for it to fit.
