wood vs fibreglass M14s stocks

I've never manhandled a glass stock, is there a huge weight difference?

I find that there is a noticable weight difference in favor of the fiberglass stock. It's nothing that makes or breaks either type of stock though.

If you shoot a lot in the rain, the wooden stocks can swell with the moisture which will affect accuracy. Synthetic stocks may not have that classy look, but they won't warp in the rain.

Undergiver has an excellent method for making your wood stock look synthetic, if you don't feel like buying an extra stock.

Boyd's had one on the shelf, it's on the way. I recon with the oil weeping out of the commie mystery wood, if I throw it in the fireplace this fall, it'll burn all winter...
