Wooden Stock and Grip on an AR15

I think it actually looks pretty good, I'm interested in seeing what the silver receiver would look like with a thumbhole stock with the same style wood as the rifle with the camo background.

The top rifle, nickel/wood, was sold by Colt. They did that up in the mid 70s. Apparently they are bringing quite the price and collectible down south.
I don't know if Colt actually made the wood or contracted, as there were a few of the wood sets sold seperately. I don't know if it was simply another company making the wood or not??? I didn't pay much attention to them back in the day, but should have.

Very Very early original armalites had wood furniture.

I'm not crazy about any of those especially the ghetto wooden lower.

I have never heard of this. Could you please provide more information?

Also, I beleive someone is making wood stocks for sale currently.

With this adapter you can put 1911 grips onto your AR15, I suppose you could put some rosewood or cocobolo grips on your AR and attempt to make it look like the ones above.

This is not bad looking.

As a woodworker, this is intriguing. I could build that! :D
