That is helpful, its tough to find load data for heavy bullets sometimes, and heavily compressed loads is a nusance to load and can lead to problems. I think I was getting 2150 with the 240s over 50 grs of H-4350 in my .30/06. There's nothing there for the 350s in the .375 though! As for the .35 Whelen data, 59.5 grs of Re-15 is supposed to kick a 250 out of a 24" barrel at 2550, so I don't know if the 310 data is unrealistic, but I'd work up towards it pretty carefully.
 
Boomer - did you shoot any game with that 240gr bullet out of your .30-06? I always thought the .30-06 set up like yours would make a nice short range moose/elk/bear rifle with the 220gr Nosler Partition.
 
As yet I haven't had the opportunity. I imagined that it would be a good bullet for bear work, but I almost always pack something bigger than a .30/06. Mind you if I was out caribou hunting I might have a few 240s in the magazine just in case. After testing one against the other, I think the 240 has the edge on a 180 gr TSX, the trouble is the 180 does other things better.
