Our trail cams catch some interesting things like multiple hens and drakes hanging out on the boxes to night shots of a Barn Owl trying to get a look inside! Had a similar picture last year, no harm done then either! The Merganzer was out so we got a picture of her eggs, looks like a few Woody eggs mixed in!

The eggs hatch after 21-30 days, most of our boxes hatch out after 25. One of our boxes hatched already, we have box photos with ducklings swimming in the background.
Our marsh area should have nesters now. Might check next week. No cameras out there but we have about 60 boxes throughout that area!

No offense... but instead of starting another thread every time you take new pictures, just add new info to your existing thread...

I can't wait for Woody Update #6...

Hurry, hurry, hurry...

Notice how you're the only one who has taken issue with the OP creating multiple threads and yet you still found it necessary to open this thread to insert your childish drivel.

Canso, what are the hatch rates of the eggs in your boxes? I've hatched a few batches of chickens and a dozen duck eggs in my incubator and am curious about the hatch rates of wild birds.

Successful numbers hatched? Usually all eggs in each nest hatch out if egg numbers in the box are not over 12. Only one or 2 eggs at most end up unhatched most of the time. The nest that hatched this year was only 6 hatched though and there were 4 unhatched and one dead duckling (first time ever for us to find this).
We've also observed other Woodys with ducklings out there as well as a Mallard and Gadwall with their successful hatches.
Hope to get out next week to the farm and hopefully get the boat out to the marsh next weekend to check our boxes out there. There's 60 and all need a boat to access them.
