I ordered it on the 23rd and it arrived today, not too bad. I had previously ordered another rifle from Cabela's but cancelled the order when it took them 3 weeks to not ship it - that's another story. So, props to Ellwood for great service.

Now the rifle... It's a NEF Handi Rifle in 7MM/08. This is my second Handi Rifle, I have one in 17HMR to keep it company in the safe. I spent a while cleaning it and mounting a scope. Pics will be up tomorrow, the wife is hurrying me to get ready for a New Years party.

Wow, that's 8 days! I usually walk into Epps and they hand me the rifle over the counter, I pay and walk out, 1/2hr tops. Seriously, they are great guys to deal with. The last rifle I got from them was also a Handi in 45-70.

Here are a couple of H&R rifles that I reworked from 223 to 257 Roberts and 6x47. Both have octagone barrels 24" long. The stocks are reshaped from the origional Ultra Lams. The rebore job was done by Ron Smith. Botth are increadable shooters with smooth and lightened triggers. The 257 Roberts has taken quite a few deer including last Nov 200lbs + 9 point Buck. The bottom 6x47 is my varmint rifle using 50 and 58gr 6mm bullets with deadly results.

Nice work on the stocks!

Here is the 6x47 again with a new 6x24 Burris mil
dot scope and single mount blocks in the final version. Great varmint scope.
