Opening date depends on the WMU you are in...here in 65, no grouse till Sept 20.

I've been out scouting deer trails...haven't seen a single bird yet.

Me and my buddy are going to go up to the spot we're planning on deer hunting this year and see what the scoop is in the area.

In alberta it opened sept 1, already had 3 feeds of fresh grouse

Man, im coming home from school this weekend and would love to go out but i still cant find a place to hunt, haven't had a chance to go ask any landowners, i feel ill be sitting on the sidelines this year

I wont be out until Monday. Bird pops are looking a little down this year due to the very wet spring in central Ontario

Was out yesterday to check on the pond and saw quite a few ruffies. I will check the pond again on opening day (Sept-19th) with my 28 gauge. Betta they will read the reg's and hide. Oh well it will be a good walk anyway (doctors orders)

Well we went out yesterday, shot one, and flushed 3 more and couldn't get shots at them. The good news is my buddies pure bred chocolate lab Duke, couldn't give two ####s about the crack of a shotgun . Here's a quick little video of him...about 5 seconds earlier he had the bird by the head dragging him down the trail .
